Hadrian Hike Challenge Walk

Hadrian's Wall

The next Hadrian Hike is scheduled for Saturday 2nd July 2011.

Originating in 1987, the Hadrian Hike challenge walk has been well supported for many years.

Every year we strive to offer a competitive course which is updated on an annual basis.

The walk will take you in the footsteps of the Roman Centurians, Border Rivers and Jacobite Rebels in this scenic south east corner of Northumberland. You will also be treated to some magnificent views of Hadrian's Wall.

All competitors will receive a commemorative Polo Shirt, certificate and refreshments along the route. Also a meal will be served at the finish.

Entries are welcome from individual walkers as well as teams of at least three walkers. Walkers under 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Unfortunately due to the proximity of livestock, dogs are not allowed under any circumstances

Awards will be given to the fastest individual and also the fastest team on both walks. A Challenge Shield will also be awarded to the fastest Fire Service team to complete the long course.

An additional Fire Service Sports and Athletics Association (FSSAA) Challenge award will be given to the fastest team from the four North East Fire and Rescue services.

Make the effort to join in as a team to try and win the Challenge Shield – entry forms are available below.
