Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service does not use ‘Cookies’* for collecting personal information from any of its websites. Session cookies (which expire on leaving our site) and Permanent cookies (which remain on your computer for a set period of time) are used for specific purposes such as gathering site statistics and storing user preferences (for example when logging on to one of our mailing lists), however non will store any personal information.

Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service do use Google Analytics to look at statistical data of how the site is used. Therefore data such as the pages you looked at, the time you spent on the site, the country you accessed the site from and where you found the website. However none of this information is personal and it is only used for statistical purposes - the data is also stored and accessed through Google.
