Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service is led by the Chief Fire Officer, Tom Capeling delivering a range of services that are aimed at preventing injuries and deaths from fire and other emergencies.
Within the Fire and Rescue Service, the Strategic Management Team (SMT) is responsible for managing each function and department. The organisational structure of Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and the members of the SMT and their key roles are illustrated below:-
