The Estates Management Department (together with approved service providers) are responsible for the management of a number of assets across the Tyne and Wear area.
We have a mixed portfolio of buildings, land and premises to manage to ensure the service can meet the needs of the organisational aims. Such a portfolio includes owned, leased, rented and shared buildings together with a number of facilities provided under a long term PFI arrangement.
The Estates management Department are essentially responsible for the management of all land, property and facilities. This includes all development, redevelopment, refurbishment and maintenance of our assets in order to deliver a modern and effective service.
We also work in conjunction with a number of external services to permit multi-agency occupancy within our sites (e.g. North East Ambulance Service).
