Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Authority operate a delegation scheme by which the Chief Fire Officer, Chief Emergency Planning Officer, Clerk to the Fire Authority, Deputy Clerk to the Fire Authority, Finance Officer to the Fire Authority and the Personnel Advisor to the Fire Authority abide. This scheme is set out under Standing Order – Delegation Scheme and can be viewed within the Fire Authority section of this website.
A register of decisions taken under the Delegation Scheme is held by the Chief Fire Officer and is available for view by members of the public providing that this does not involve the release of confidential or exempt information.
